' A decade of Miracles' is an Opera upon which a Folk album is performed. A communion between immensely accomplished Classical and Folk musicians from the NYC music scene who will all perform under one rule: Everything will be learned and played by ear.
The decision to exclude written music from the process aims to elucidate the miraculous gifts of the human musician: literally mirroring another human being's brainwave patterns when playing together, adapting and complimenting their fellow musician's creative output, thanks to several decades-long processes of mastering their instruments and devoting their lives to an art craft that has brought the most universal joy to this world since the beginning of time.
This project is a necessary endeavor to reclaim the oral tradition in the arts as a way to preserve the leadership and inclusion of human beings in Music Creation.
A.I. development has brought forth an imperative question: What will art feel like without human contribution?
The first "AI bands" and "artists" are making their way into real musicians' platforms, and massively taking over. Their clear advantage: Human rights ( limited working hours, humane compensation, rights ownership) are voided.
This project defends the palpable difference between music created from the experience and imagination of human beings - mortality, emotional depth embroidered in their existence - and AI generated songs, which feed off of previously human-created art without any limitations to their plagiarism and no accountability for the devastating consequences of their product.
The recording will happen in Studio 9, a Fresh Grass owned professional recording facility in Albany, NY on the week of December 8th, with more than 20 professional musicians, and it will be documented and turned into a film revolving around the perils of losing the language of human creativity at the highest level.
The contributions and donations will be centered towards compensating the musicians for their work and putting together a filming team of the highest caliber to document these precious moments of human interaction.
During the year of 2026, this work will be performed in several festivals in the US and Europe and exhibited in museums globally.
A decade of miracles is a call for remembrance, urging music lovers worldwide to help preserve one of the most complex, profound and miraculous languages ever created.
